How to play The Word Factory
One big word. Race to make tiny ones. Call out a long word. Everyone has 60 seconds to write (or mentally note) as many smaller words as they can make from its letters. Most valid words wins.

How to play
- Someone picks a long word (at least 8 letters). Example: 'Celebration'.
- Everyone has 60 seconds to find smaller words using only the letters in that word.
- You can only use each letter as many times as it appears.
- After time's up, compare lists — duplicates cancel out, unique words score.
- Most unique valid words wins the round.
Example round
- 'Celebration' → 'table', 'rice', 'tone', 'baron', 'coin', 'tire', 'lion'...
- 'Friendship' → 'friend', 'rind', 'ship', 'fiend', 'drip', 'pine'...
- Someone finds 'discombobulate' in a 10-letter word. Instant legend.
Tips
- Start with 3-letter words, then build up — you'll find more.
- Good source words: 'submarine', 'generation', 'celebration', 'restaurant'.
