How to play Freeze Dance Improv
Dance. Freeze. Become a character. Music plays, everyone dances. When it stops, freeze. The host calls out a character or emotion — everyone must instantly act as that character until the music restarts.

How to play
- Play music and everyone dances (or just moves around).
- Host stops the music unexpectedly — everyone freezes immediately.
- Host calls a character or emotion ('terrified accountant', 'robot in love').
- Everyone acts as that character until the music starts again.
- Switch it up every round — more specific character = more fun.
Example round
- Freeze! 'You're a medieval knight discovering a smartphone.'
- Freeze! 'You're a golden retriever at its first job interview.'
- Freeze! 'You just found out you won an Oscar but also spilled soup on yourself.'
Tips
- Combine two incompatible things for the best characters: profession + emotional state.
- Let the freeze last 20–30 seconds so everyone can fully commit.
